DPSI Online offers online training for beginner, intermediate and advanced-level interpreters and translators.

Level – Beginner:

Introduction to Interpreting

NEW!  A taster course that helps bilinguals and aspiring interpreters understand the basics of interpreting. Test your English proficiency and learn about the role of the interpreter to see if this profession is for you!

Level 3:

Level 3 Certificate in Community Interpreting

Suitable for candidates who have no experience in interpreting, or have interpreted for friends or relatives in the community, and are interested in becoming qualified.

This course takes 12 weeks to complete and leads to a national qualification.

Level 4:

Level 4 Interpreting for Victims of Crime

NEW! A national qualification, exclusive to DPSI Online with Helena El Masri, where over 8 weeks you will learn about interpreting for victims and survivors of violent crime, domestic and child abuse, torture and modern slavery.

Level 6:

DPSI Law Diploma in Public Service Interpreting

Suitable for candidates who wish to become qualified legal interpreters in order to work in the criminal justice system in the UK, including the courts, probation, prison, immigration and local government services. Payment in instalments and various options available.

DPSI Health Diploma in Public Service Interpreting

Suitable for candidates who wish to become qualified health interpreters in order to work in the medical and healthcare settings. Payment in instalments and various options available.

DPI Diploma in Police Interpreting

Suitable for candidates who live in London and wish to work with the Metropolitan Police (the DPI replaced the Metropolitan Police Test). This 12 week course is available in 23 languages.

DCI Diploma in Community Interpreting

Suitable for candidates who have completed a Level 3 or Level 4 qualification and wish to become qualified to work with the courts, the police, probation and prison settings. This is a portfolio-based qualification, and there is no exam. The course can be completed in 6-9 months. Legal Pathway with payment in instalments available.
