Jumpstart your career in interpreting with our 12-week Level 3 Certificate in Community Interpreting course, the essential entry-level qualification for paid interpreting assignments in the UK

Classes are delivered virtually twice a week on Zoom in groups of up to 12 students. Students also receive three one-to-one sessions with a language assessor, making us the only course provider in the industry that delivers this level of support.

Course Schedule

This course runs five times a year in:

January, March, May, July, and September.

Morning group classes: 9:30 am to 11:30 pm.

Evening group classes: 6:00 to 8:00 pm.

Please allocate an extra hour after class to complete coursework.

Enrolment & Payment Process

Step 1: Application & Assessment

Apply: Submit your application for the Level 3 Community Interpreting course.

Assessment: Complete a pre-course assessment for a £20 which is deducted from your course fee upon passing. This evaluates your language skills to ensure you're well-prepared for the demands of the Level 3 Community Interpreting course.

Step 2: Secure Your Place

Offer: Upon passing the pre-course assessment, you'll be extended an official offer to join the course.

Complete Your Enrollment: Secure your place by paying the remaining balance of £915. Choose either to Pay in Full or a monthly payment plan of 4x £233, through the link provided in your offer email.

What prerequisites are required?

A high level of oral and written fluency in English and native language.

Pass the pre-course assessment.

How do I enroll?

After applying, you’ll complete a pre-course assessment to ensure you display the appropriate linguistic level for this course. If you pass, you’ll be offered a place and invited to complete your enrolment.

What does the course fee cover?

Your £935 fee includes the £20 pre-course assessment fee, all course materials, and the certification fee.

How do I know this is the right course for me?

This course is best suited for candidates who have little to no professional experience in interpreting, may have interpreted for friends and family a few times and are interested in becoming qualified.

What languages is this course available in?

This course is taught in English. We have assessors in over 45 different languages including rare languages.

What happens if my portfolio doesn’t meet the criteria?

You have one full year to be reassessed or resubmit any work that did not meet the criteria. Additional language assessments with an assessor will be charged.

I already have an interpreting qualification above level 3, should I still take this course?

This course serves as a great form of CPD for those who have held a level 6 DPSI qualification for many years and would like a refresher.
