for BSL Interpreters
For the first time in the UK...
BSL interpreters can achieve the DPSI Law.
Starting in January 2026, DPSI Online, in collaboration with Patricia Westbury, will deliver the first DPSI Law course adapted specifically for BSL interpreters.
This course leads to the nationally recognised DPSI Law qualification, awarded by iCQ Awards and has been adapted to reflect the professional and linguistic realities of BSL interpreting while maintaining the integrity of the qualification.
What this qualification enables
▶ Work in legal settings where a DPSI Law qualification is required
▶ Use your BSL interpreting skills in courts, police interviews, and other legal contexts
▶ Hold a national recognised qualification awarded by iCQ
▶ Be among the first BSL DPSI Law interpreters in the UK
